Shines 2 God is just beginning a beautiful web journey of becoming a place where devoted followers of Jesus Christ can rest and become grounded during even a brief visit to enjoy the guidance and inspiration that comes through the perfect Holy Spirit of our Lord. 

Shines 2 God will also be a place where ANY person is welcome with open arms and acceptance.  Though we will not tolerate rude behavior or foul language, you are welcome here if you do not believe there is a God, if you believe a different doctrine of following the faith of a Muslim, Hindu, Buddha, or one of the modern belief systems based on an intellectual combination of various spiritual teaching.  If you are married or single you are welcome here. 

Shines 2 God will be a place where we work hard to truly follow the example of Christ Jesus’ life living as a human amongst His creation.  Knowing we cannot attain perfection while still in this life, we never-the-less aim for the perfection we are called to and take the examples given us in scripture to heart as lessons to model our own thoughts and behavior.  If you are homosexual, gay, you are welcome here in the same perfect Spirit of Love in which Jesus welcomed and drew all of us to Himself.   If you have been hurt by somebody during your life and you can’t seem to find complete healing from the wound that was left inside, you are welcome here to know a deeper sense of belonging and have your wounds nurtured in the wholeness that is so often found in meeting others who share similar experiences and can really listen with the truest of understanding and compassion.  If you are an adulterer living in the horrible pain and isolation that choice normally brings with it, you are welcomed here to be loved and encouraged to be open with others about yourself to gain the strength and clarity you will find as others care about and pray for you.  We have all been hurt by the mistakes of others or the intentional actions they have taken, and most of us recognize significant mistakes we have made as well and can’t always find freedom from the guilt and remorse.  Please keep in mind as you read this post that this is only an honest effort to give a general description of the hopes of unity in which this website is inspired by, making know this is in all ways a website operated by devoted Christians and directed towards other Christians, though we believe it would be a HUGE oversight not to intentionally make others who may not expect to feel welcome in a Christian environment know clearly that you ARE welcome here and completely welcome to be yourself in every way with complete honesty, knowing in advance that you will be treated kindly and with respect.

Shines 2 God wants to rise above even what we believe is possible in discovering the best, the highest, the most noble possibilities of our shared human nature.  That is only a short list above and not intended to single out any specific group of people or highlight something as being more “wrong” than another thing.  It is just an example and what we really hope you hear in your heart as you read these words is that Shines 2 God hopes to be a place on the Internet where human beings who often find themselves excluded or being treated as outcasts of a harsh society will find a welcome here so genuine and lasting that it begins the healing we all need.

We want to become more than a website.  We believe in this possibility and want to become an experience that is contagious and begins to flicker with the light of Life and grows into a consuming fire that truly Shines 2 God and gives Him deep joy in seeing His very creation flourish.

One final note: 

The owners of Shines 2 God have only a few personal goals in pursuing the development of this website that we would like to make known from the beginning efforts of pulling together the initial content and developing website features.  In continuing and persistent efforts to discover a path from debilitating and disabling health struggles back to complete health, earning the finances to eventually supply our entire income and surrender the disability pay for others to benefit from, Shines 2 God will include 3^rd party advertising as well as make products available through well know online merchants such as Amazon and EBay, we will also list our own custom engraved products and other merchandise. 

We can only hope that each new visitor and member and regular participants here at Shines 2 God will know as clearly as can be that Shines 2 God in NO WAY desires to profit from “religion” nor in any way present ourselves, this website, or any of the content as a means to make money from the topic of Jesus.  If anybody is ever bothered by the appearance of how things are handled and/or presented here, we would be deeply grateful if you would help us understand in specifics any thing that bothers you.
